The journey from potential to permanence.
The philosophy for our firm was inspired by the “Bricks to Stone” tradition at my alma mater, Duke University. At Duke, every student’s path follows a physical and symbolic transition: freshmen starting among the red bricks of East Campus—a place of transition and emerging potential—and eventually crossing as sophomores into the Gothic stone of West Campus, a landscape defined by tradition, strength, and enduring character.
I founded Bricks to Stone Education because I saw too many students collecting "bricks"—grades, test scores, and accolades—without ever building a cohesive foundation of intellectual curiosity and resilience. In today’s rapidly changing (and at times volatile) world, those individual bricks are no longer enough for neither university admissions or employers.
Eventually as students complete their post-secondary education, a degree might help you get a job, but it is intellect, resilience, and a clear sense of purpose that propels you to lead and thrive in your lifetime of work and service.
